Packet - WWII Veterans
Activities
We invite WWII vets from around the nation to represent
their home states at the Nations Parade and other
special commemorative activities (other vets click
here):
Friday, November 11
Saturday, November 12
Attendees can also participate in
traditional Veterans Day activities (street fairs,
tours, concerts, etc), meet other WWII vets from across
the U.S. and around the world), or explore NYC's other
offerings.

& Answers
What about spouses, family, and
other guests?
WWII veterans may be accompanied by one guest/escort
in the Parade, as well as at the Mayor's Breakfast
and the visit to the United Nations. If space permits,
they may be able to bring a single guest to St. Paul's
Memorial Chapel. Other guests are invited to view
the Parade, visit the Veterans Day Fair, and to explore
NYC's other cultural and historical offerings.
What amenities/services will
be available?
All activities and venues are designed to accommodate
our older veterans. You will receive more information
in your confirmation packet, once we receive your
registration.
How much does it cost?
We offer WWII vets a special $150 VIP Package,
which includes breakfast and lunch on Friday and Saturday
and transportation around town on both days (there
is no fee if you make your own meal and in-town transport
arrangements).
How do I arrange for travel
and lodging?
We have partnered with Veterans
Advantage to provide special travel and lodging
packages for this event. Run by veterans, for veterans,
Veterans Advantage is offering a special package for
WWII vets traveling to NYC for this event:
- 2 for 1 companion airfare tickets
(from most U.S. destinations)
- Other special rates on air, rail
and bus travel, car rentals, and hotel accommodations
- Free one-year membership in Veterans
Advantage's rewards program for veterans
You will receive information on
signing up for these packages once we receive your
registration form.
