We are seeking
your assistance in sending a World War II veteran
to New York City to represent your state for the Nations
Parade, a special 60th Anniversary commemoration.
On November
10-12 (over the Veterans Day holiday) New York City
honor World War II veterans from around the country,
as well as veterans from all eras and our current
active duty military.
This weekend
is the culminating event of the Department of Defense's
official WWII 60th anniversary commemoration, and
will provide a grateful nation with a final opportunity
to recognize "the Greatest Generation"
We are reaching
out to individuals, veterans groups and civic organizations
to identify and sponsor one or more WWII veterans
to attend this special event. Each WWII vet you send
will have the opportunity to represent your state
at:
In addition, attendees and their
escorts/guests will have the opportunity to participate
in a wide range of traditional Veterans Day activities,
to meet with other WWII vets from across the U.S.
(as well as international veterans from around the
world), and to explore NYC at the beginning of its
holiday season.
To accommodate our WWII vets, we
have designed a special $150 VIP Package, which
includes breakfast and lunch on Friday and Saturday
and transportation around town on both days (there
is no fee if they have their own meal and in-town
transport arrangements). In addition, we have partnered
with Veterans Advantage to provide special
travel and lodging packages for this event (more information
is available upon receipt of registration).
To sign up your veteran for this
once-in-a-lifetime event, please download and submit
the Individual Registration Form.
We look forward to welcoming
your representative to NYC!
